Ravi Prem & Siri Bhagavati

Ravi Prem from KRI will be leading the Teacher Trainers forum along with Sri Bhagavati

Ravi Prem Kaur has been a Kundalini Yoga Practitioner for the last 25 years and from the very first class, Kundalini Yoga was “love at first sight” for her. She became a Level 1 Kundalini yoga teacher in 2014, then joined the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) in 2021 in the role of Trainers Forums Coordinator. After Hari Charan Kaur´s retirement from KRI in 2023, she has been blessed to embody the role of Outreach Manager. Her passion is to serve & to contribute to human kind in healing processes, and believes developing compassion, sensitivity to our own suffering and suffering of others brings awareness to live a conscious life to heal self and others.

She has been actively involved for the last 23 years in service: as a masters degree in psychotherapy, Kundalini Yoga teacher and trainer, Karam kriya consultant, Conscious pregnancy practitioner, a mother of a 22 year old son. She is part of  the Aquarian Trainer Academy, and has been involved in Teacher Training team in Chile and UK and served as community member of the Global Ethics Commission of the office of Ethics and Professional Standards (EPS) in our Dharma, since 2021.

We are excited to have her join us to run our first trainers forum since 2017, at this years festival. The forum will take place on the Monday after the festival finishes, starting in the morning and will be run in conjunction with the teachers forum until mid afternoon.

Billie Atherstone / Siri Bhagvati is a IYTA Kundalini Yoga Therapist, teacher trainer and is a Kinesiologist and Bowen Therapist.  She is the co-founder of Kundalini House, the largest Kundalini Yoga studio in Australia, which has been running since 2006.  Since 2014, Siri Bhagvati has focused on Yoga Therapy with the Guru Ram Das Center (grdcenter.org) and is a member of the faculty team, teaching open courses and courses within its professional accredited Kundalini Yoga Therapy training.  In her clinical work, she has been successfully running specialised courses and one on ones for people in the recovery of trauma, PTSD and health recovery.

Recently, she has been working in a team with the Guru Ram Das Center to train Kundalini Yoga teachers in Ukraine the skills and clinical understanding of teaching in a trauma responsive manner and in responding with resilience in a war zone. She is also very excited to be working with Melbourne University on a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funded grant to examine the benefits of trauma-sensitive yoga for survivors of sexual violence. In her clinical work, she has been successfully running specialised courses and one on ones for people in the recovery of trauma, PTSD and health recovery.

We’re excited to have Siri Bhagvati lead the teachers gathering at this years festival.

On 5 October, we’ll be hosting a Teacher Trainer Forum led by Ravi Prem, a representative from Kundalini Research Institute (KRI).  This forum is a space to:

  • Connect directly with KRI through Ravi Prem

  • Ask questions about teacher training and trainer pathways

  • Share reflections, concerns, and hopes for the evolving landscape of Kundalini Yoga

  • Strengthen our collective vision for integrity, growth, and community

Whether you’re an experienced teacher trainer, currently in training, or considering the path, you’re warmly invited to join the conversation.
