Workshops 2017

Friday – September 29

All Camp Opening Ceremony
4pm-6.30pm
Friday, September 29
Sadhana Tent

Sat nam and welcome to all. Our first festival was a time to come together and plant our collective seed of healing and change into the earth. This year through the second chakra we water that seed. It’s time to obey, serve, love and excel. If we obey the higher self, self-awareness and the capacity to serve from our heart grows.

When we live from our hearts, we excel and can be that change we want to see in the world. The festival opening is our first chance to come together, connect, and open ourselves to the true sense of the festival theme. It’s a time to meet and greet one another, a time to bless ourselves through the water element, uplift through the power of chant and heal through the techniques of kundalini yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
Time to Surrender to You! Obey and serve your destiny!
The Sats: Sat Sarbat Kaur Khalsa
& Satmukh Singh Khalsa
7.45pm-9.30pm
Friday, September 29
Sadhana Tent – All Camp Workshop

Influenced by our education, family background, pressure of the society, we have been obeying to the wrong voices. We thought freedom came by choosing and buying what we like, what we want, what we prefer until we realise that does not bring us happiness.

We are not our job, we are not our role as a mother, father, brother, sister we are not even our gender or nationality, we are infinite, and we need to plug that infinite self in order to move toward our destiny. Surrendering means to listen, to listen to our inner voice, our inner guidance, our intuition, instead of constantly judging and evaluating what comes from within and being busy reacting to the impulses of the outside world. It is time to realise that we have been suffering from a separation with our deepest self, it is time to surrender to our deepest truth, to come back Home and realise our beauty and bounty.

Saturday, September 30
Traveni

Join our men only sacred circle, where we will practice Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, listen and talk about issues that we normally don’t touch upon in our regular daily lives. Read more
The planet now is ready for us to honor our place as leaders on this Aquarian age. In this sacred circle we will explore the questions: Obey, which voice do you obey? Are you obeying the voice of your ego or the voice of your soul? Society’s pressure nowadays makes us loose contact to our soul purpose. Learn to regain the ability to reconnect to your soul and flow of life. Serve, who do you serve? What is the meaning of the word service and how does that manifest in your life? When you learn to understand on how to listen to your inner voice, service is not burden and you are able to hold to your commitment with the support of the big picture, your soul. Love, what is love for you? How can you understand love and expand it so wide that it is not relying on you. Yogi Bhajan says, “Love is an ultimate power. It knows no defeat. It doesn’t know impossible. It is strength: It’s not a weakness. There is a tremendous amount of pain in love. That is realism. But do the lovers feel it? No. There is a joy.” Excel, are you being your true self? Yogi Bhajan said, “Become 10 times greater than me” Through commitment and service to your personal path and growth, the desire to serve will follow. From service, love will grow, and when love grows, you grow into your power and excellence.

Unlock Your Creative Potential Through The Women’s Moon Centres
Balwant Kaur and Didar Kaur
Women’s Moon Centres
10.30am-12pm
Saturday, September 30
Prakritri

According to yogic teachings, a woman has eleven lunar centres, which activate in her body in a 28-day cycle, spending 2 ½ days at each location in her body. These centres reflect various emotional and mental states. If a woman is sensitive to her body and emotional tendencies, she can predict her own moon cycle. In this workshop, we will study the moon centres and learn how to find and chart their order in our own body and creativity. It will be a time of sharing our mystery and grace as women. This is a women only class.

Please bring your own pendulum.

The Adi Shakti
The Sats: Sat Sarbat Kaur Khalsa
& Satmukh Singh Khalsa
4pm-5.30pm
Saturday, September 30
Sadhana Tent

Adi Shakti is a popular symbol in the Sikh Tradition and in the Kundalini Yoga Community. The two swords, one on each side of this symbol, represent the duality (number 2) we live in: Yin / Yang, Ida / Pingala, Prana / Apana, Masculine / Feminine….

The sword in the middle represents the transcendence of the duality, the “middle way” as called by the Buddhist.

This transcendence helps you to reach the circle represented in the middle of the Adi Shakti: the capacity to obey, the Shunia, the silence, the oneness. This is the ultimate goal of the spiritual practice, the highest level of consciousness represented by the number 11, the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.

A Spiritual Warrior is able to obey (zero himself = 0), which is a necessary quality to be able to command. Obey the supreme order, the voice of your higher self and your intuition, without judgment from the limited self as “I like”, “I don’t like”, “I want”, “I don’t want”. The day you surrender to life and stop to judge life according to the expectations of your limited self / your belief system, you understand that life is perfect the way it is. You just need to be ready to face the challenges! Transcending the duality means to take altitude, to step into our neutral mind, act according to our intuition and appreciate life as a continual flow. Being caught into duality put us into judgment, emotional reactions, physical diseases and a general sense of separation.

The sword and the circle in the middle represent as well the number 10 and the spirit of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru. It invites us to discover the Spiritual Warrior within us. A Spiritual Warrior is ready for the war when our inner enemies need to be defeated, and is ready to stand for the truth (number 1 of the 10, the sword, sushumna). A Spiritual Warrior is also very much connected to his heart and brings harmony and peace in his relationships and surroundings (number 0 of the 10, the circle, the oneness).

During this workshop, we use the science of Kundalini Yoga to go deep into the realm of the subconscious, get rid of hidden patterns and release soul memories that are crucial for your life. You will experience a change in your life because the perception of who you are and your environment will change. It is a meeting with your deepest self and a self confrontation.

It is time to embody the Adi Shakti in your life! Your inner Spiritual Warrior is waiting for you to be awaken! During our workshops at the festival, you will understand at a deeper level the meaning of Yogi Bhajan’s teachings for the Aquarian Age. It is an opportunity to dive into your body and have a sensory experience of your highest potential.

Healing Pain to Open to Love
Mahanraj Imbrogno

Flowing With The Longing To Belong
Jai Inder Kaur with Jai Ram Kaur Hergo
4pm–5.30pm
Saturday, September 30
Agnihotra

Our most pure and innocent desire is the longing to belong, for the soul to reunite with the one. An untrained mind asks us to ignore our longing or it colours it with it’s own impression of what this longing means.

This ignorance and colouring can lead to us refusing the flow of life or saying yes to what does not serve our higher selves and destiny. The result can be shame, guilt, neurosis, and no inner permission to be filled with love. A balanced negative mind is a powerful tool of discernment that enables us to say no to what does not serve our highest self so we are ready and receptive to that which does. Combing this discernment with the creative energy of the second chakra and the cleansing flow of the water element we can be guided through our sadness and longing to our highest and most radiant self

We are now feeling the full impact of this transition as the old breaks down to make for the new age. Kundalini Yoga is a methodology to build our vitality and expand our consciousness, to give us the capability of not only surviving, but to thrive in these turbulent and stressful times.

Bhangra Dance
Dv and Gopi Singh
8.30pm-9pm
Sunday, October 1
Sadhana Tent

Bhangra is a style of dance that originated in the Punjab region of Northern India. Bhangra was originally a folk dance to celebrate harvest time (you can still see traces of this in some choreography when people appear to scatter seeds to the wind.)  Throughout the course of the 20th century it evolved as a folkloric dance and as Punjab émigrés left the country to go to Western countries, a hint of Westernised music began to creep into the music.

As a Kundalini yogi, you’ll see Bhangra all over the place. Yogi Bhajan often had students get up and dance after kriyas and at group gatherings such as Summer Solstice and Sat Nam Fest. Bhangra helps you stimulate the circulation (and by using the hands energetically over the head, activating the heart meridian and the lymphatic drainage system.) Please come join some of our Sikh brothers Gopi and Dv Singh as they share a part of their heritage with us and celebrate being together.

Karam Kriya Wisdom of Numbers
Jai Ram Kaur with Jai Inder Kaur
7pm-8.30pm
Sunday, October 1
Prakritri

In this workshop we will walk consciously through the kriya (soul-full action) that is Obey Serve Love Excel. What does each of these parts of the journey really mean? Where are you in relation to these steps on the journey and what is the result? The journey starts at the water element and so having a clear relationship with the negative mind and emotions means we will progress through the journey towards the light of excellence more clearly and authentically.

Rather than trying to leap-frog from negative to positive we are more likely to let our action be informed by an attitude that lives and breathes heart and soul. Then we are really doing the kriya of life – living a life with soul. To get all this into our very bones and breath we will be employing a mantra that you most likely already know which is an expression of Obey Serve Love Excel – a kind of elegant, shorthand way of saying just that. With these magic words we build a bridge back into daily life. This workshop is guided by the wisdom of numbers and Karam Kriya.

Gong Puja

Gong Puja – A bath bringing the nectar of total health and suspension of the biological clock
Randeep Kaur and Balwant Singh
8.30pm-3am
Sunday, October 1
Sangam

The Puja’s gong bath is a path that can easily lead one to Savakalpa Samadhi and then to Nirvakhalpa Samadhi. It is the path of healing tone fullness when the moment of highest gong consciousness occurs in the bath bringing the nectar of total health and the momentary suspension of the biological clock. The extension of Gong Bliss through the awakening after the gonging leads to more Nirvana in normal life conditions.

Gong Master, Don Conreaux explains it: ‘[The gong], is considered a shamanic power-tool, likened to the mythic philosopher’s stone. During the gong experience, we are in the completely awake state, while completely asleep meditative state, what I call the 4th dimensional dream-body. In this state, which is also known as the completely neutral yogic state of “Turiya,” we greatly increase the re-youthing efficiency of our innate intelligence that operates 24 hours a day. When the senses of hearing and feeling sound are mixed, a blissful mood occurs which science calls “synaesthesia”. In this altered state, with our eyes closed, it is possible to behold the Invisible Light of Illumination, and also experience various levels of samadhi , ecstasy and enlightenment. Gong vibrations are gifts from the universe called:”free energy.” Sonar energy comes through the gong in a continuous flow in every direction, emanating from its center.’

Monday – October 2

I Am A Woman Now Now Now
Hari Charn Kaur Khalsa
10.30am-12pm
Monday, October 2
Sadhana Tent

Woman’s greatest power is her power of prayer. We are born to excel through our radiance. Our weaknesses are comparing ourselves to others, competing, and criticising mostly ourselves. In a sacred space come together with other women to experience and celebrate your divinity and the absolute strength of your prayer and grace. In the words of Yogi Bhajan, “I am a woman, a woman to be, now, now, now”.

The Focused Leader
Sahib Singh
10.30am–12pm
Monday, October 2
Prakritri

Now, more than ever, we live in a time where leaders need to have the skills to lead from within. They need to know how to focus inwards and also how to focus constructively on others. This is the basis for a sound emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence begins with self-awareness—getting in touch with your inner voice.

Leaders who heed their inner voices can draw on more resources to make better decisions and connect with their authentic selves. The biggest barriers that we face are the fears we have and how we manage those fears. In this workshop, let’s explore together the aspects of what makes the aquarian leader, how we recognise it within ourselves, and how we apply it for a deeper relationship with ourselves and the others on our path. It is my personal responsibility to prepare you to be the teachers of the coming age. Each day it is your day. Therefore, you must develop in yourself the possibility and the power to lead people. Lead people to righteousness, lead people to truth, lead people to Sat Nam. You must lead people to grace, you must live with grace, you must live with strength. Weak do not have survival on this land. Live with strength and grace, have the soul in you. Your God and Guru is always with you, work Him out. There is never a chance when you will pray with whole heartedness with concentration, you will ever lose.” Yogi Bhajan
The Spiritual Warrior, Excellence comes from Shunia!
The Sats: Sat Sarbat Kaur Khalsa
& Satmukh Singh Khalsa
2.30pm-4pm
Monday, October 2
Sadhana Tent – All Camp Workshop

Excellence comes from our non-existence! Why do we wish to exist? We exist anyway? Why do we need to be seen and heard? Who are we when nobody is watching us? Kundalini Yoga is a path of dying while alive, a path of zeroing ourselves in order to become infinite. Let trust, we are in the hands of God! Nothing wrong can happen except if we interfere. Why not contemplating the creation and enjoying the movie instead of being each actors of this movie and create dramas and karma. Let’s be the holy witness of the show, at the end of the day, only consciousness is left!

In childhood Guru Dev Singh exhibited healing and psychic abilities that brought him to his first teachers, the Mexican Curanderos –the old men of the Toltecs. For many years he studied the forgotten secrets of the Mexican “Indios” and Curanderos. He became known as a man who could “make magic,” heal, and even drive out demons. Then one day in Mexico City he saw a very charismatic, tall, imposing man dressed all in white and wearing a turban. The man was Yogi Bhajan, master of Kundalini Yoga. Guru Dev Singh asked if he could become Yogiji’s student. Yogiji told him that he did not accept students, that he created teachers, and gave Guru Dev Singh a task to perform: to live for a year without using his powers. When Guru Dev Singh successfully completed this task, he became a Sikh and started learning Yogic and Oriental healing; and that’s how it all began. To the observer, the techniques of Sat Nam Rasayan® (SNR) may look simple, but it is only through a specific and detailed training of the practitioner that the subtleties of this healing technique can be accessed. It takes years of study and practice to not only achieve the state that Yogi Bhajan described as shuniya, but to be able to stabilize and recognize it, not just “walk through it.”
