These FAQs will be updated as more info comes to hand and we move closer to the festival date. Please check this page regularly for updates.

Daylight Savings

  • Daylight savings time starts Sunday, October 7 at 2am. Please remember to turn your clock 1 hour forward before you go to bed on Saturday, October 6. 

Tickets / hire items

  • Can I stay somewhere nearby and still come to the festival? Yes you can – one, two or three day passes will be available for sale if you prefer this option.
  • Are one day tickets available? Yes and they will be available for sale closer to the event.  Day Pass ticket holders are invited to participate in all aspects of the program while they’re there, including the seva teams.
  • If I’m traveling from Interstate or overseas, can I hire a tent or bed linen? Yes, details about hire options will be available soon.
  •  I need to cancel my ticket, can I get a refund? A 50% refund is available for refund requests made prior to 29 August 2019. A $50 admin fee applies to all refunds.  Ticketing System Fees are non refundable. Tickets cannot be refunded after 29 August 2017.

Families / children

  • Do babies and toddlers have to buy a ticket? Children 0-4 have free ferry travel and entry to the festival and the festival program. Discounted tickets for children under 16 are available here. These tickets include access to all kids programs and activities.
  • Are there any childcare options while I’m doing Sadhana? Sadhana is a community event. Children are welcome to join Sadhana each morning (we can set up a comfy cushion area for parents/carers and children). You can enjoy Sadhana with your little ones or have them sleeping next to you. If you wish to leave your children sleeping in their cabins/tents during Sadhana, please make your own arrangements for appropriate care. Children are also welcome at evening activities but please keep them safe with you.  Some parents have suggested wearing a bright coloured piece of fabric or head scarf or even carrying a flag at all times to help ensure your children can easily spot you in a crowd – you may like to try that too!
  • I am pregnant, can I still participate in the program? Please visit the 3ho website for more info about Kundalini Yoga during pregnancy.  This info is provided as a reference only. Please seek your own additional medical advice if you are unsure.
  • Can I bring my dog? Sorry no pets are allowed as there’s wallabies and other wildlife to consider.


  • How many sleep in the shared rooms? Between 3-5 in bunk bed accommodation with restroom and shower facilities located nearby. In addition there will be one room of 20 for mothers and children.
  • Can I sleep in the same cabin with my friends and/or family? You can indicate who you would like to share a room with when you buy your ticket.


  • What kind of meals are included with my ticket? Your ticket includes three vegetarian meals a day on Saturday and Sunday, with dinner on the Friday and breakfast on the Monday. Lunches will be light as the majority of classes and and workshops are during the day and eating light helps you to experience a deeper practice.
  • Will there be food sold at the festival? Some stall holders may sell snacks but at this stage that is not confirmed.There will be a T-Bar serving chai and healthy snacks all day. The festival menu will accommodate food allergies and intolerances including GF, DF, nut free and vegan options. There is provision for you to let us know your dietary requirements when you buy your ticket.
  • Will there be drinking water available at Mangrove Yoga Ashram? Yes, there is a water filling station and the water provided meets Australian drinking standards.  Herbal teas will also be available throughout the day from the T-Bar.  Please keep your liquids in a sealed container or bottle wherever possible for the safety and convenience of other festival participants.

Travel / Parking

  • Can I drive there and is there parking? We really encourage you to catch the train but there is also the option to drive to the venue.  There will be a special parking zone allocated for camper vans too. Festival volunteers will provide directions and assist with luggage on arrival at Mangrove Yoga Ashram. Please note parking is at your own risk.  Please do not leave any valuables in your car.  Visit our Getting There page for more info.
  • How far is the train station from the venue? We really encourage you to catch a train to Gosford and then take a free shuttle to the venue.  It’s about a half hour bus ride.
  • Can I catch a train from the airport to the festival? Yes, you’ll be able to get a train from the airport to Central and then change at Central for a train to Gosford. From there it’s a free shuttle bus ride to Mangrove Yoga Ashram. We really encourage you to catch the train as it will be a long weekend and incoming/outgoing traffic on the Friday and Monday will be very busy! Visit our Getting There page for more details.
  • What if I miss the bus from Gosford station? There will be buses leaving at regular intervals and we’ll advertise departure times closer to the event.  It is your own responsibility to get to the venue outside of these scheduled times.
  • What times does the shuttle bus take us back to Gosford station after the festival? Bus departure times will be advertised closer to the event. Please visit the Transport NSW website to plan your trip.

Yogic Routine

  • Do I have to get up at 4.30am for Sadhana? Sadhana is an important aspect of Kundalini Yoga and it is a great way to enhance your festival experience and participation in the community. Ultimately it is up to you!
  • I’ve never done Kundalini Yoga before, can I still come? Absolutely! The festival is open to all and the program will include some classes for beginners.

Seva teams / Volunteers

  • How do I volunteer for one of the seva teams? You can register your interest in any of the seva teams when you buy your ticket. If you did not choose your seva team when you purchased your ticket you can do so now by completing this form. As our festival is a not for profit event run entirely by volunteers your contribution to the seva teams is really important to the success of this event. We humbly ask each ticket holder to perform a small amount of voluntary service towards the running of the festival. 
  • Is there anyway I can assist with the festival beforehand? There’s lots of ways to get involved – you can help promote the festival online or in your community using our web banners and postcards or drop us an email if you feel you have specific skills that may assist – we’d love to hear from you!   • How much does it cost to have stall at the festival bazaar? The festival bazaar will be open on the Saturday and Sunday only. As a stall holder you will be required to purchase a ticket to the festival plus the Stallholder fee which will be confirmed soon. This rate will cover a standard trestle table size (approx. 75cm x 180cm x 73cm high) and two chairs in an under cover location. All stallholders must have their own insurance.   • What to bring? There’s a pack list on the What To Bring page. There are no facilities at Mangrove Yoga Ashram to store valuables so please try to leave them at home.  If you do need to bring them it is at your own risk and we recommend you carry them with you at all times.
  • Is there mobile phone coverage?
    There’s very little phone coverage so why not leave your phone at home and enjoy a weekend without the stresses of modern technology. There is no Wi-Fi coverage and one public phone for emergency calls.
  • Is this an eco friendly festival?
    Our goal is to make it a zero waste event. We’ll ensure there are recycling facilities available and we ask you take everything home with you – whatever you bring you take home with you.
